The MPMS3 offers users the sensitivity of a SQUID (superconducting quantum interference device) magnetometer and the possibility of choosing between multiple measurement modes (DC mode, VSM and AC susceptibility)
The equipment basically consists of a temperature control system (1.9 K – 400 K) and a superconducting coil to apply an external field of ±7 Tesla
The system allows control of all parameters during the measurement process
We have external equipment, the He_3 refrigerator, with which we can control the temperature from 0.4 K
