Performance:

• This option requires the Environmental Magnetic Shield option (available in the MPMS-5S).
• Magnet Reset included.
• The fluxgate magnetometer (figure) measures the field as a function of position along the axis of the superconducting magnet, providing the magnetic field profile. It nulls the magnetic field at a specific location in the sample chamber following an iterative process. This iterative process can achieve a field smaller than 0.005 Oe.
• Once the magnetic field has been nulled, the AC option coils can be used to generate DC high resolution magnetic fields:
  • Magnetic field range: -5 Oe a 5 Oe.
  • Magnetic field resolution: 0.15 mOe.
